Job Description

The Strategic Manager is responsible for long-term strategic planning (3-5 years) and reports directly to the VP Corporate Development and Transformation Management. They are responsible for all business planning workstreams within the annual business planning and strategy process, and work closely together with the Director Group Strategy, as well as the respective business unit leadership to facilitate the process.

  • Update the corporate model if and when required
  • Align with Director Group strategy and respective business unit leadership teams on the long-term planning process, and identify key strategic questions
  • Facilitate the annual long-term planning process and ensure the corporate model is set up to analyse the key strategic questions
  • Create and maintain an overview of key assumptions taken as part of the planning process
  • Question and confirm key assumptions where appropriate
  • In collaboration with the group strategy team, derive the companys' strategy and strategic initiatives as part of the annual long-term planning and strategy process
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years work experience in renewables, ideally within a commercial (DCF, valuations, transactions), and/or financial (FP&A, Controlling) fields
  • Extensive experience in excel, specifically with corporate models; Experience in DCF modelling is a plus
  • Ability to review financial models efficiently - In-depth knowledge about key value drivers for solar, BESS and wind projects; Ability to challenge and verify assumptions effectively
  • Solid financial background (management balance sheet, P&L, cashflow statements)
  • Strong planning and executional skills
  • Proficiency in English is mandatory, both written and verbal
